All of you are bandwagon fans that just like your team cause they are the best fans. I bet half of you dont even live in New York. Your franchise is full of steroids and cheats. The Real and Fair team in New York is the Mets. They actually have integrity.
I’m not a Yankees. I’m an Orioles fan and proud of it. Win or Lose I stand behind them.

IDK but Im a YANKEES and a LAKERS fan, and I love every second of watching my teams win

The Yankees have a winning tradition and the Mets have a losing tradition (and you couldn’t find a team with more drug and alcohol abusers than the ’86 Mets–read that book about them, called "The Bad Guys Won" or something like that).

i live in NY. I was a Yankee fan from the start. I attended well over 100 games. i dont accuse bandwagon fans like an idiot like you

BANDWAGON FAN : Anyone who claims they are a "fan" of a particular sports team, even though they had no prior support for/interest in the team until that team started winning. These types of fans only show playoff interest, have probably never watched a regular season game, don’t own any type of team merchandise, nor would they buy any. Sounds like yankee fans to me .

Actually, there are quite a number of Red Sox fans on this website. Someone asked a question about who people would take in the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry, and there were maybe 80% Red Sox fans there.
I don’t really understand your first sentence either. I think the Yankees have the best fans *because* they are, well, the best. They follow their fans no matter what, even if the Yankees win or lose. I will admit that there are some bandwagon/fairweather Yankees fans who will quit on the Yankees if they do poorly, but I think the *VAST* majority of Yankees fans are fans who are fans from the beginning. In fact, I would say that a lot of Red Sox fans are the bandwagoners who became fans when the Red Sox won the World Series in 2004. It seems like the population of Red Sox Nation just skyrocketed after that.
As for the Mets being the "real" team of New York, I don’t think New York would want to have its real team be a team with only two championships (vs. twenty seven over the history of the Yankees). New York deserves to be represented by a team that has a history of winning.

I agree with you about Yankee$ fans, but let’s talk about the NY Mets and integrity – take a close look at the "Miracle Mets" and the 1969 World Series that Mets fans seem to want to worship forever. A huge turning point in the series was the Cleon Jones alleged hit-by-pitch that was "proven" by the shoe polish on the ball that was thrown out of the Mets dugout. Jerry Koosman later admitted that HE rubbed the polish on the ball under orders from Gil Hodges, his manager.
Now, THAT’S integrity!

Thank you for your opinion (everyone has one).
But your question is inaccurate.
btw – There is no requirement that a person has to live in the city of the team they are a fan of.

My question to you is, What makes the Mets they real and fair team in New York? What does fair even mean in this case. As for Yankee fans from outside NY that is true. If you ever take a trip to the Bronx you will see plenty of NJ and CT plates as the Yankees have huge fan bases there. I just moved to MD and have to pay $200 a year to get DirecTV’s baseball package so I can watch the Yankees. Finally accussing the Yankees of being steriod users and cheats is a cheap shot. The steroid scandal spread much further than the Yankee’s clubhouse. The Yankees because of their marquee player’s popularity generated bigger headlines. But, don’t kid yourself the abuser’s of steroids were everywhere, I would bet anything the Mets were not clean during that era.
