Where are the Naruto fan sites getting their information about Madaras past?

I’m just wondering because I have read every chapter of the manga up to the most recent (480) and don’t recall there being any chapters where Madaras past/childhood and stuff about his brother and eternal sharingan being revealed. Is this in the anime only or am I just not remembering it in the manga? If anyone knows that would be great if you could provide me with the episode # and or chapter(s) of the manga

    you should check out
    endless-naruto.com
    they have a bunch of stuff about the recent naruto mangas and episdoes
    they also have a character list that talk about the char.
    its has a lot of naruto stuff from hand signs to their birthdays
