I contacted Sony about this and they were no help.
Although they told me that you have to have a paid for PS+ subscription to access the beta, they
also told me that the beta would remain PS+ exclusive which isn’t true as even the Uncharted site says it becomes publicly available on the 4th. So they seem to be a pretty unreliable source.

Gaming sites like and including IGN have talked about the beta being available to those who used the "Welcome back" free PS+, so who do I trust?
Sony the official site, who doesn’t seem to know left from right? Or dozens of unofficial sources who are all saying the same thing? Or is the PSN store just stuffing up?
If it is…well…any suggestions?

Thanks but I’ve literally gone through the entire store (The places you listed, included). I’ll double check but I don’t have my PS3 right at the moment.
So this makes me think this a bug with the PS store.

I think that you can get away with playing the beta with PS+ from the welcome pack, because theres a statement from the developers saying this (I’ll post in source) and I’ve also been playing the game with PS+ from the welcome pack and not by paying for it

The beta does become publicly available on the 4th; ps+ members get it early. I think its always been like that. I’d only listen to the Uncharted site because theres always going to be reliable information from them.

If you can’t find the beta, you can either go in to (on the PS Store)-

-Go in to ‘Franchises, then ‘Uncharted’, then ‘Uncharted 3′ then the Beta (note: beta might just be in Uncharted franchise, so you might not need to go in to Uncharted 3)

-’Latest’, ‘Latest demos’ and it should be there. If you need any more help just post
