I travelled to Dublin just over a year ago and spotted a match on TV in one of the pubs and back at the hotel… An awesome sport, I’d have to say. My question is, how does one living in the US keep up with the daily matches? My experience in looking them up online hasn’t been successful. I’ve gone with gaa.ie, i believe was the site, and yahoo.ie ect. I’m also interested in any online broadcasted games if any, or somplace to catch some clips. While in dublin I became a fan of the Lilywhites, they matched against Westmeath… Awesome match! But whatever I can dig up would be wonderful… I know there are a couple US teams, the California Gaels, I believe, though I’m more fond of the teams from the game’s country of origin.
Thanks in advance!
Some cable companies offer a channel called SETANTA. This shows the Gaelic games in the US. You can also sometimes catch the matches in Irish pubs across the US. I play camogie/hurling and Gaelic football in the US (Denver, specifically) with the Denver Gaels. I catch the matches in Dublin, when I visit, and at a local pub here that subscribes to Setanta. You can also sometimes hear the matches over rte.ie which has a radio broadcast of the major matches.
Go Gaels!
